The picture shows the circulation of how students do research based on this model. They are in an invitational communication climate, so they are encouraged to exchange their own opinion. They also have chance to learn to construct knowledge for their paper by solving and discussing the problems together. They can learn many skills of doing research in coursework. My favorite part of this model is “learning through reflection.” We always think in a way that we think is the best. However, if we watch or listen others’ reflection, we will find some new discoveries and learn to think in a different way. I think this is very important when we are leaning or doing research.
When it comes to working with others, the part of teamwork that always bothers me is that my teammates do not say their own opinion and agree with everything. I do not believe that they are agree with everything. They must have their own thought but they do not want to share. I think there is no difference between a person and a team if the teammates do not speak their own opinion. I really hate that someone do not talk their own opinion with the team but talk the drawbacks of the work when finished it. I think communication is very important in teamwork.
I think that collaborative learning means that learning something through team work. We gather different opinions from group members and then learn from discussing our opinions with each other.
回覆刪除At this process, my favorite part is generating multiple perspectives. In this part, we express our own opinions and listen to others’. Through this process, sometimes I would feel so surprise about others’ opinions. Since everyone looks at things from different perspectives, they all think differently and have different thoughts. As a consequence, I would be surprised by their thoughts and vice versa. Therefore, we really learn a lot in team work. Just like now, I am a college student; there are many team work project in the courses we are taking. As a result, oftentimes we have to work with others. Through this kind of team work, we learn a lot from each other but there is still something bother me in team work.
First of all, it’s hard to gather everyone at one time. We are college students, and we take different courses. So, it’s hard to make decision of time of discussion. Second and the most bothering, sometimes someone would keep talking and talking when we are discussing. The person would sometimes talk on the phone in our discussion. Sometimes, he or she would dominate the whole discussion and does not let other people express their own opinions. That person wants everyone do what he wants us do. As a consequence, he or she does not like other people to interrupt his or her speech. If someone expresses what his or her opinions, that person would criticize again and again and oppose his or her thoughts. That really bothers me. Team work means that we have to work with other people instead of working alone; how can that person does not respect others’ opinions? Every one has the rights to express. The person should respect others’ and generate every one’s opinions and learn how to work with other people.
I hate that kind of people, too. As a team, we should respect each other. Everyone has the same right to talk. Some people are too proud that they think their ideas are the best. What is worst, some people are not only arrogant but also stubborn. Therefore, it is hard to change their mind. As a result, the performance of the team will not be good because the members do not have any common opinion. I hope that I will not meet this kind of people in the future. I have no idea to do with them.
