My favorite classroom activity is hands-on activity. I think that when experiencing something in person we can also think and learn during the process. This kind of classroom activity is more interesting and can make us remember it easily. On the other hand, reading is the instructional format that I like the least. This kind of classroom activity may not motivate students’ interest to learn. If we only read the text book on the class, it will lose the importance of teachers.
The fun class activity that I experienced recently is that I have made an animated cartoon on my English Composition class. One day we had our class in a computer lab; our teacher taught us how to remake an animated cartoon. Our team gave the cartoon some funny lines and our work really made everyone laughs. This class activity is really interesting. I would like to have classes like this next time.
During the process of learning, encountering difficult knowledge is inevitable. I suppose the difficult knowledge here means some profound concept that is hard to understand. When I encounter some kind of difficult knowledge, I will think of some examples in real life to make me understand it easily. I think that we need to have experiences first, and then we can really learn something.
I think that I am the type of learner that need to experience in person, and then I can remember it and understand it easily. I would like to call myself the researching learner. I have the spirit to do research. I am willingly to try new things because I believe that having many different experiences can make one grow and learn something new.
To me, I think that the most interesting activity in class is presentation. Through presentation, I can not only share my thoughts with my classmates but also listen to other people’s opinions. Through this activity, we learn from each other. Moreover, we activate bravery to present in front of the whole class. We all benefit from this activity. However, the activity I like the least is listening all the time, because it is easy to feel sleepy. What’s more, it is also easy for students to distract from the lectures.
回覆刪除The activity I did in class which is the most interesting is the presentation in class of Teaching Children. We formed into groups and found some classmates who pretended to be our students. Then, we had to design a teaching unit and taught them in class. Because our target students were set as the children in the fifth to sixth grade, they had to pretend that they were at that age. It was really like teaching in cram school and made us have an opportunity to play teacher’s role. We all had fun in this presentation.
Also, when I encounter some difficult knowledge, I would ask for teachers’ help or surf on the net because many times, it is not easy for us to acquire this kind of knowledge on our own if we do not understand the meanings. As a consequence, I would ask for teachers’ help.
Therefore, I think that I am the kind of learners who have to learn by doing, just like doing the presentations. Through these presentations, we all learn many things in the process of preparation, presenting, and other people’s reflection. No matter their reflections are positive or negative, we improve and then become better and better in next time’s presentation. Moreover, every presentation is a measureable memory to all of us. I still remember many activities we did before. As a result, I define myself as the type of learners who learn knowledge from doing presentation.
Wow, as s freshman, I am still learning to have a presentation before class. I have to think before speaking when I am going to talk in English. I hope that I can talk in English fluently in the future.
