1. I think the weekly writing prompts are good. It gives us some questions to think. However, I think they are quite boring because they are all related to serious topics. They are inspirational but I am not interested in them. They are not close to my life. I think their range is too small. Most of the weekly writing prompts are related to academic topic. I would like to have some special theme, such as how do we think about homosexuality.
2. I like the two-way online discussion, but I think it will be better if there are more people in a group because we can get more different ideas. We can also see many different writing styles and learn from each other.
3. I think everything is fine during the progress of blog project. One difficulty is that I have to do very hard to meet the require of words. When I have nothing to say and did not meet the require, I have to take a long to think out what to write. It brings a lot of pain to me.
4. I like the project website very much. I think it is quite comfortable. The design is simple and not too complicated. The content is good. I think there can be more relevant links. Dr. Chen gave us a lot of good websites. I think the links of these good websites can also be put on the project website.
5. I gain a lot from this blog activity. I have learned something new from the weekly writing prompts. I think the most important thing this activity gave to me is that I can write regularly and will not lose my ability to write in English.
6. If I had opportunity to start over, I will extend my view of weekly topic. I will spend more time on it and find more information. I try my best on this semester. As a freshman, I have too many activities to take part in. I am still learning to manage my time well. If this project would start over, I definitely will make more efforts on it.
Actually, I like the two-way blogging activity because it gave us a chance to meet different people in different part of Taiwan. My partner is quite friendly, and she and I have many things in common. I am happy to meet her.
回覆刪除However, I agree that some topics are inspirational but boring. They are not quite close to my life. Thus, some topics would just make me tired to think about. I like some of the topics, however. For example, the strawberry generation one is quite interesting, and I do like this topic because it is closer to my life. We often hear this term, but do not understand what the term’s deeper meaning. Through the topic, I understand more about it.
For me, I like the way of one-to-one interaction. Because more people are involved, more different thoughts would appear. Thus, it is not easy to think of one topic deeply. Although more people are involved, we can meet more people and hear different thoughts, I still like the way one-to-one interaction better.
I think that the only problem I encounter is time managing, just like my partner. Because of too many reports in every week, it is not easy for me to post my thoughts on time. Therefore, I should really learn to manage my time well and post my writing on time.
I like the website because it is reader friendly. It uses simple pictures and pale colors so that the whole website is well-designed. Also, the organization is quite clear and the information needed is all put on the website.
Through this activity, I tried to think deeply. So I think I gain a lot in this activity. Also, I like this activity very much.
